Abstract
Jane Eyre is a novel by Charlotte Brontë that follows the life of an orphaned girl, Jane, who endures a harsh upbringing and seeks love and independence. After a troubled childhood with her cruel aunt and at a grim boarding school, Jane becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall, where she meets the enigmatic Mr. Rochester. Ultimately, the novel explores themes of identity, morality, and the quest for belonging.
